Flexible Scheduling Needed: 8, 10, 12-Hour Shifts (Days, PMs, and Nights)

Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital is looking for a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team for a 13-week contract position. This is an exciting opportunity with flexible scheduling, including 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts across days, PMs, and nights. Rhinelander, WI, offers a welcoming, small-town atmosphere surrounded by the beauty of Northwoods — perfect for those who enjoy nature, outdoor activities, and a peaceful work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
🔬 Perform routine and specialized lab tests and procedures
⚙️ Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
📊 Accurately record and report test results
🤝 Collaborate with healthcare teams for timely, precise patient care
🧑🔬 Ensure laboratory safety and regulatory compliance
Shift Requirements:
🕗 Flexible Shifts: 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts (days, PMs, and nights)
🔄 Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
Floating Requirements:
🚗 Float to Other Locations: Tomahawk, Eagle River, or Howard Young (prescheduled if necessary)
Required Qualifications:
🎓 Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
🩺 Certifications: MLT, MT, or CLS. ASCP preferred but not required
💪 Experience: Minimum of 3+ years core lab experience, with travel required
📄 Certifications: AHA or ARC BLS certification
🖥️ Charting/Equipment: Experience with Epic and Meditech preferred
